1. 1970: Lauren Hutton
Modeling usually requires perfection in all aspects, Lauren Hutton changed all that. She built her aura around her imperfection - a gap tooth that many agents suggested covering up. Hutton started modeling in 1963.
Her big break came when she was photographed by Richard Avedon for Chanel in 1968. By 1973, she signed the biggest modeling contract of that time with Revlon and within that period, she graced the covers of over 25 magazines and appeared in numerous advertising campaigns. She continues to model into her 70s.
